The Quiet Work of Becoming Her

If I’ve learned anything in my early 30s that I wish I could have known in my 20s…
It’s that becoming “her” isn’t about changing everything overnight.

It’s not a glow up.
It’s not a new routine that fixes your life.
It’s not waking up one day and suddenly having it all together.

It’s quieter than that.

It’s in the small choices you make every day.

Choosing to slow down instead of constantly rushing.
Choosing to take care of yourself, even when it feels inconvenient.
Choosing to be honest with yourself about what’s working… and what isn’t.

It’s letting go of the version of you that was just trying to keep up.
The one who said yes to everything.
The one who didn’t always listen to her gut.

And learning to trust yourself instead.

Becoming her looks like:

  • setting boundaries without overexplaining
  • not needing validation from everyone around you
  • taking care of your body, your mind, your space
  • finding joy in the simple, everyday things

It’s not perfect.
It’s not linear.

Some days it looks like a slow morning and a good routine.
Other days it looks like doing the bare minimum and giving yourself grace.

But both count.

And maybe the biggest thing I’ve learned…

You don’t “arrive” as her.

You become her in the way you show up for your life, over and over again.

So if you feel like you’re not there yet…

You’re not behind.

You’re in the middle of becoming.

Pour your coffee, stay awhile.
